PROVINCE LINE SWIM CLUB MEMBERSHIP RULES

The following rules have been established to assure a safe and sanitary operation of pool facilities. The lifeguard and members are required and authorized to enforce these rules. All members are requested to be sure that their children and guests observe these rules, and obey the instructions of the lifeguard.
1) Pool Hours
a) Normal operating hours will be 6 a.m. to 11 p.m. Mon. – Sat., 6 a.m. to 8 p.m. Sun. Use of the pool other then normal pool hours will be considered trespassing. Member family trespassers shall be subject to family suspension for any offense. Non-members shall be treated as trespassers.
b) Reserved
c) An area of the pool may be reserved for swimming instruction at the discretion of the Employee Relations Committee.
d)Members may reserve special times for specified group events.
i. Members must post such events at least one week prior to the event.
ii. An event consisting of more than 15 guests at one time shall require the hiring of a Red Cross Certified lifeguard, at the members own expense.
iii. A maximum of 20 guests per family shall be allowed at any one time.
iv. A maximum of 40 swimmers may be in the pool at any one time.
e) The pool may be closed by the Pool Manager, for what he/she considers sufficient reason.
2) Member Obligations
a) Members must sign register at the time of arrival and departure. Members must register guests at the time of arrival. Members are responsible for the conduct of their guests.
b) The cost of property damage will be charged to the responsible member.
c) Identification must be furnished to the Pool Manager’s staff upon request.
3) Rules of Conduct
a) Food, refreshments and smoking may be consumed only outside the fence or in an area designated by the Pool Manager. Each member is required to clean up the area after him or herself.
b) No alcoholic beverages may be brought or consumed on the Club grounds. Being intoxicated on pool grounds is prohibited.
c) Offensive language is prohibited.
d) Members are responsible for the conduct of their guests.
4) Guests
a) A guest privilege shall be defined as the admission of a single individual over 5 years of age to the pool, who must be accompanied by a member. The member must remain as long as the guest stays on Club premises.
b) A house guest shall be defined as a person over 5 years of age who resides beyond a 25-mile radius of the Club, and who is actually temporarily residing as a guest at the home of the member.
c) Each family membership shall be allowed unlimited guest privileges.
d) Guest privileges will be allowed at any time.
e) Guest rates
i. $5.00 per individual child or adult guest admission on a daily basis.
ii. Admission for house guests only for seven consecutive days, $10.00 per individual, $20.00 per family
iii. $10.00 per week for a members’ child care giver
5) Health and safety
a) All bathers must shower will soap before entering the pool.
b) The following are prohibited:
i. Swimming alone, unless a guard is on duty.
ii. Expectorating and blowing of nose in pool.
iii. Glass containers within fenced area.
iv. Pets on Club property.
v. Running, pushing, wrestling, ball playing, etc., in or about the pool area.
vi. Eating, drinking and smoking inside pool area.
c) The following are permitted unless prohibited by the lifeguard: Inflated tubes, masks, suitable pool toys, goggles, flippers, webbed feet, and other paraphernalia in the main pool.
d) Admission shall be refused to anyone with a cold, cough, inflamed eyes, infection, or otherwise showing evidence of communicable disease.
e) Admission of Children
i. Children 11 and over may come to the pool unaccompanied only when a lifeguard is on duty, and provided that they have passed the Pool Manager’s swimming test.
ii. All children under 11 must be accompanied at the pool at all times by a responsible adult or a sitter (who should be considered a guest) who is considered qualified by the Pool Manager. A sitter at least 14 years old must be a responsible person, and present a written note of his status to the Employee Relations Committee or Lifeguard on duty.
iii. Each child in the wading pool must be supervised by an adult or sitter other than the lifeguard or Pool Manager.
iv. Babies of diaper age will not be allowed in the large pool. They will be allowed in the wading pool only if adequately clad, in the opinion of the Pool Manager or lifeguard.
v. After 6 p.m. all children must be accompanied by an adult.
vi. If a lifeguard is on duty, they are there to keep order, prevent accidents, and save lives. He/she is in no sense to be considered a baby sitter, not to have the responsibility of caring for any individual child or group of children at any time.
6) General
a) All persons using any of the Club facilities do so at their own risk. The Club will not be responsible for any accident or injury in connection with such use.
b) The Club will not be responsible for loss or damage to personal property.
c) The Pool Manager may suspend any person from pool privileges for any length of time, when after being warned, he continues an infraction of the rules. In the case of a child, the parents shall be notified in writing by the Pool Manager.
d) All complaints should be made in writing, signed by a member, and mailed to the Executive Committee.
e) These rules may be revised, or additional rules established at any time by the Executive Committee
